Dyeing

Yesterday I started dyeing 100 gram of 19 micron Merino with silk and is now hanging to dry.
I dyed them with Jeaba cold water dye and it is amazingly easy and fun to do.
A couple of weeks ago I made the solutions and I had a request of spinning and dyeing 100 grams and yesterday was the perfect day for it.
On Saturday Tour the Fleece is beginning and I have a lot to spin so I can fill my days easily.

London

We have been to London for 5 days and I have enjoyed every minute of it.
On the first day we picked up a E-reader we bought for my oldest daughter because she graduated.
We ordered it at home and send it to the nearest shop with lockers.
Just put in the code and one locker opens. I thought it was great!!!

We had a hotel in Paddington nearby the tube so that was very convenient.
The next day we went to Oxford Street and to the Royal Albert Hall for a concert of Carrie Underwood.
It was AWESOME. The girls had better places then us and it really was worth it. What a show!
She was signing CD's in a record shop as well and we accidentally went by and the queue was very large so we skipped it.
I bought a set of 3 knitting bags in a Fossil shop. Very nice bags and wallets.

My oldest daughter bought a very nice purse.
Really like the brand and we had a good price. Always nice.

We have been to Camden Market and I saw a bag there and I did not buy it.

We had a great time.
I think we have seen a lot of London:

Camden Street

The girls at Camden Market

China Town i a hurry

The M&M shop

Madam Tussaud

St Pauls

Pieter at the London Eye

The Royal Albert Hall

The girls favorite place: Starbucks with WIFI
The underground (tube, subway) was a very good way to get around.
The system works very easily.
I will definitely go back to London again for the woolly stuff.

WWKIP

What a day!
I could borrow my mothers car after all and did drive to Örebro for the WWKIP day.
As always I have to recuperate before I can write again.
Seems to be like that all the time.
It would be better though to write right away.

I parked the car somewhere and it turned out that I parked at the back of the building where I should be.
Kind of lucky.
Karin and Catarina were very happy with their Ashford Joy spinning wheels.
Mission accomplished!

I think there were like 30 people or so. Quit a lot and lots of things to buy!
Karin from Ateljé Norrgården was there with here lovely home dyed yarn.
Linda from Garnstumpan was right beside her with here sister Ulrika from Stickamera.
Here are a few more:
Stickhjälpen och många mer.
Louise Moritz provided us with food, coffee and cake.

I met a lovely lady who almost knitted the way I do with long needles and have been struggling Sunday night to hold the work the way she does and have not succeeded yet.
There is hope though because she will attend a spinning course in Oktober by me.

I had a wonderful time and got a sack of wool as well from Ylva.
And this is what it looked like when I came in:

Ateljé Norrgården

I love the colours Karin makes

This fabric will be a knitting bag.

Trevligt helg!

Tomorrow I am heading off to Örebro for WWKIP day and really looking forward to that.
I have no idea how to get there yet, because my husband is away with the car and my mom cannot lent out hers so that will probably mean that I have to rent one.
No problem there either I hope!
I also have to Ashford Joy spinningwheels to deliver to their new owners and that will be fun as well.
Have not decided yet what I am going to have with my as knitting items.
Maybe my cardigan from h... or maybe something else.
I have to rip it out a loooooonnngggg way so we will see what it will be that I am taking with me.

Tonight I am invited to a party of one of my neighbors and looking forward to that as well even without my husband.

Have a nice weekend!

We zullen zien.

Vanavond heb ik in elk geval een gezellig feestje bij een buurtje die 60 jaar wordt en zelfs zonder mijn man wordt dat heus gezellig.

Prettig weekend allemaal!

Köpnhamn/Copenhagen

I have had a very lovely day today.
Marie and I had a wonderful time at Jane's and her lovely family (thank you for your hospitality).
At 10 am it was time to go and went with the subway to the centre of Copenhagen.

Marie secretly knitting i public on her own.

We gathered in Kingsgarden in Copenhagen and there were already like 10 people knitting on the grass.
The weather was not that great and it was at least dry with a couple of small drops.
Met a lot of wonderful people.
