Dyeing

Last Monday I have been following a dyeing course at Ateljé Norrgården and had a lot of fun.
I have now more understanding for the colors to make with the Jeaba cold dyes.
This is what we did last Monday in good company of Liisa, Catarina, Lisa och Karin som ledare:

And all this with the three basic colors like yellow, blue en red.
Isn't it amazing?

If you like to book a dyeing course and try this out please contact me!
It is so fun to do and you will be truly amazed like I did.

Thank you so much Karin for the invitation.

And on top of all that I got a present as well.
I while ago I have been participating with a trade where you were supposed to find a mug and buy some yarn and send it to a given person.
My trading person was Catarina and she obviously know what i like and here is my gift. I love it!!! Thank you so much Katta!

This is going to be my favorite mugg I think!

WWKIP

What a day!
I could borrow my mothers car after all and did drive to Örebro for the WWKIP day.
As always I have to recuperate before I can write again.
Seems to be like that all the time.
It would be better though to write right away.

I parked the car somewhere and it turned out that I parked at the back of the building where I should be.
Kind of lucky.
Karin and Catarina were very happy with their Ashford Joy spinning wheels.
Mission accomplished!

I think there were like 30 people or so. Quit a lot and lots of things to buy!
Karin from Ateljé Norrgården was there with here lovely home dyed yarn.
Linda from Garnstumpan was right beside her with here sister Ulrika from Stickamera.
Here are a few more:
Stickhjälpen och många mer.
Louise Moritz provided us with food, coffee and cake.

I met a lovely lady who almost knitted the way I do with long needles and have been struggling Sunday night to hold the work the way she does and have not succeeded yet.
There is hope though because she will attend a spinning course in Oktober by me.

I had a wonderful time and got a sack of wool as well from Ylva.
And this is what it looked like when I came in:

I love the colours Karin makes

This fabric will be a knitting bag.

What to do?

It has been a wonderful Easter and I was home alone with my eldest daughter and I should just count the buttonholes I knitted on my Tant Kofta's Kofta when I discovered a mistake and I cannot live with mistakes.

Second Easter day I had a wonderful knitting meeting at Ateljé Norrgården/Ostbiten and decided to take out just the stripe were the mistake was but that was more complicated then I thought (it took the whole afternoon and a part of the evening) so I ripped out the whole cardigan and have now began again from the beginning. I lot of people were chocked by me doing it but I would not been satisfied if I left it that way.
So today I have begun again.

My daughter and I went to the yarn store today and bought some yarn for her shrug for her ball dress.
This is the one I am going to knit.
I am not knitting it with the recommended mohair yarn but with Drops Lace (alpaca with silk) and it is very nice to knit in and I have to say fairly easy knitting and not a job to be done in front of the TV.

My third project to start up is to spin 100 grams of black angora for Rebecka who won a lottery at the online knittingcafé.
So I have a busy week ahead of me and I have ordered a mini washer to wash my wool in. They are expected to have them in at the end of April and was kind of a bummer because my husband is in the Netherlands and it would be perfect for him to pick it up. Unfortunately not meant to be!

Bye for now!
